2003 Annual Art Gala Glitz a Success MAY 3 2003 One of the premier events of the school year is Bedford Academy's Art Gala Glitz. Parents and honoured guests are treated to an evening of student art appreciation while savoring an interesting variety of local and international wines. The children create their impression of local artists works through their own watercolors. Each child's painting is professionally mounted and proudly displayed within a classroom gallery. Volunteer parents and teaching staff work as decorating teams to magically transform the classrooms into galleries representing selected themes. The Academy family comes together each year during this popular event to celebrate the creative accomplishments of the children. There is a true sense of community as parents, teachers and students equally enjoy their efforts in making the Art Gala Glitz a resounding success each year. This, the 3rd Annual Art Gala Glitz, was a spectacular success, and well received by all who attended. The Academy was completely transformed for the night from school to sophisticated art gallery, with each classroom taking a different theme. Guests moved from one room to the next marveling at the creative energy of each class and their inspiring artist. |
