One of the most eagerly anticipated events of the school year is the Academy's Duck Dash which takes place each Spring. This fund raiser has always been enjoyed by every student particpant. Each child who enters, is presented with a numbered rubber duck which is placed at the start of the Paper Mill Lake Brook. From there on, the results are in the hands of Mother Nature as these small, brightly coloured fowl make their way through the many rapids and eddies found along the way. The first duck to reach the mouth of the brook is collected by teachers holding a large fishing net and the winner is quickly announced to the assembled students, parents and teachers.

This year's winner, Vanessa Foster, received an all expense paid family visit on board the famed Harbour Hopper, courtesy of Murphys on the Water. Congratulations Vanessa and we are already looking forward to next years "Dash."
