Meet the Academy's New Piano Instructor, Dr. Elizabeth Kasper

Bedford Academy has been extremely fortunate to have been able to acquire Dr. Elizabeth Kasper as its piano instructor. Dr. Kasper holds a Bachelor of Music Degree, Licentiate Diploma, Concert Diploma, and Master of Music Degree from McGill University. She has studied at the Guildhall in London, England and with Irwin Freundlich and Gyorg Sandor in New York. While on scholarship; she obtained a Doctoral Degree in Performance/Pedagogy from Northwestern University, Illinois, where she studied with Donald Isaak. Dr. Kasper taught piano at McGill University Faculty of Music and the McGill Conservatory of Music for many years. She is active as an adjudicator, solo recitalist, and workshop lecture and most recently taught courses in music and culture at Cape Breton University as an Assistant Professor in the History and Fine Arts Department. She presently resides in Halifax where she continues to teach and perform.
