Remembrance Day Ceremony

Parents, relatives and friends are invited to attend our Remembrance Day Ceremony. Many guests have commented that the Academy's Remembrance Day Ceremony is worthy of national attention due to the emotional quality of this patriotic presentation. This year's ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 10th at 10:00am in Academy Hall.

Community Liaison Officer Jen Lake Visits Bedford Academy

Constable Jennifer Lake, Bedford Academy's Community Liaison Officer, gave a wonderful presentation to our Grade Primary and One students on Stranger Danger and Traffic Safety.

Bedford Academy Open House Monday, November 16th 9:30am-10:30am

Bedford Academy will host families who are interested in touring our school and learning more about our programs, on Monday, November 16th at 9:30 am. Registration for the school year 2010- 2011 and a financial commitment to secure grade placement is due on Monday, January 11, 2010.

Junior High Fall Dance

Bedford Academy will be hosting a Fall Dance for our Junior High students on Thursday, November 19th from 8:15pm to 9:45pm in Academy Hall.

Elementary Report Cards

First term report cards for Grades Jr. Primary to Six will be sent home with the students on Friday, November 20th. Parent teacher interviews will be held on Thursday, November 26 4:00pm- 6:00pm and 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Confederation Reenactment

Grade Eight students will be hosting a reenactment of a Confederation Conference on Monday, November 23rd, from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Wallace Room.

International Baccalaureate Program

Shawn Young, Charles P. Allen's IB Program Co coordinator, will be providing Bedford Academy parents with an overview of the IB Program followed by a question and answer period. This information session will begin at 6:30pm on Wednesday, November 25th in Mr. Sangster's Room, South Wing.

Junior High Exams

Junior High students will begin exams on Friday, November 27th.

Family Sing a Long

Our traditional Family Sing a Long with the lighting of the Academy tree will take place on Thursday, December 10th from 7:00pm to 8:00pm following the Junior High Band Concert. Junior High Semi Formal Dance Thursday, December 10th following the Sing a Long.

Bedford Academy Storm Day School Cancellation Policy

When inclement weather causes the cancellation of school, parents can confirm closure on CBC Radio 90.5 or C100.1 at 6:30am, or refer to the Academy website or phone the Academy directly at 902-835-2384.
