Bedford Academy NEWSLETTER
JANUARY 2010

Dear Parents,

Commitment Form

In the event the deposit is not received by January 11, 2010, your child's placement will be assigned to a student on the Bedford Academy waiting list.

Outdoor Clothing

As the colder months are now upon us, parents are encouraged to label their child's winter clothing. The Academy's lost and found area tends to be quite full at this time of year with snow pants, jackets and accessories of a similar appearance. Placing your child's name prominently on such clothing will help tremendously in locating your missing items.

House System

All Academy students are placed in one of four Intramural Houses upon registering with the school. Lanark, Moray, Fife and Argyle are multi grade teams that compete and participate in a wide range of athletic and recreational pursuits throughout the school year. Teachers are assigned to lead these groups along with Senior Student Leaders. Our Intramural Program, under the direction of Mr. Bell, allows the students to engage in physical activity with a strong school spirit theme designed to bring the student population together.

Snow Days

With the possibility of inclement weather, parents are encouraged to review our Storm Day Policy, which can be found on the Academy web site in the "About Us" section.
