Welcome to our Junior Primary Program for students who celebrate their fourth birthday on or before December 31st in the year of their enrollment.

The foundation of the Academy is to provide a nurturing and educationally stimulating environment for your child's Junior Primary year. Our program will allow the children to become an integral part of the vibrant and caring school community that is Bedford Academy.

The children will flourish in a structure that provides a wide variety of educational and age appropriate experiences in Science, Mathematics, Early Literacy, French, Music, Physical Education and Art. The students will have many opportunities to learn and test their skills using hands on, concrete activities. Each child will be guided to engage themselves as active learners.

The Junior Primary Program will have full use of all Bedford Academy facilities such as the gymnasium, library, computer lab, playground and school bus. The children build foundations for their future academic success through day-to-day interactions with Academy administration, teachers and children of all ages.

Our Junior Primary students will be invited to participate in many school wide events such as winter and spring concerts, field trips, school assemblies and sporting events. The children will come to feel familiar and safe and gain a simple understanding of what it means to be a part of Bedford Academy.
